Riot Games intends to improve anti-cheat in VALORANT
It doesn't matter what esports game we are talking about, as there will always be those who will try to gain a competitive edge with cheats. VALORANT is no different in this regard, and the developers at Riot are well aware of this issue. Due to the recent spike in the number of cheaters, Riot began to tackle the problem.
VALORANT was released over eight months ago, and players have had ample time to figure out how to bypass the anti-cheat system, Vanguard. Several topics appeared on Reddit at once, in one of which the developers made it clear that they would improve the anti-cheat in VALORANT.
"Our team hopes to make some improvements this year, based on the feedback we received and the data we got last year."
In the context of talking about the number of cheaters, Riot seems to be aware of the problem and is ready to work on solving it.
It is likely that with the release of the second episode there will be more information about the developers' plans to improve the anti-cheat system. It would be a big step in the right direction for esports, especially if VALORANT hopes to compete with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
