Corrode and Bind to Return to Valorant’s Competitive Map Pool With the Start of the New Act
Riot Games appears to be preparing changes to Valorant’s competitive map pool. Well-known dataminer valohabercisi reported that with the start of Season 2026 Act 6 (V26A6), Ascent and Split will leave the competitive rotation, with Corrode and Bind returning in their place. Riot Games has not officially confirmed these changes yet.
Valorant’s current competitive map pool includes Abyss, Ascent, Haven, Lotus, Split, Summit, and Sunset. If the leak turns out to be accurate, the pool will look like this after the update:
- Abyss
- Bind
- Corrode
- Haven
- Lotus
- Summit
- Sunset
The new act is set to begin on October 14, so official confirmation of the changes will most likely come in the next few days.
Corrode’s return looks especially interesting in light of players’ recent findings. In the Chinese trailer for the Galleria 2.0 skin bundle, players noticed that mid on the map looks different from its current version in the game: the boxes near the corner of the building have been replaced with a wall, and the passage from mid to A site has been changed. So Corrode will most likely return to the pool with a reworked mid.
As a reminder, Corrode and Abyss were removed from the competitive rotation in March 2026. The community is also waiting for the return of Icebox, which was removed from the competitive pool more than 400 days ago.
