Valorant's New Agent Could Be Revealed on October 17, a Day Before the Champions Grand Final

Riot Games could unveil Valorant's new agent as early as October 17, during the finals weekend of Valorant Champions 2026 in Shanghai. The information comes from well-known leaker and dataminer VALORANT Leaks & News, who shared it on their official social media.

In a new post, the leaker shared a snippet of the tournament's event schedule. It states that an exclusive showmatch will take place on Saturday, October 17, at 2:00 PM. According to VALORANT Leaks & News, that's where the new agent is expected to be revealed.

Along with the schedule, the leaker shared an already-known teaser showing the character's silhouette, which appeared in the Valorant Champions 2026 trailer, but there are no new details about the upcoming agent yet.The most interesting part of this leak is the date. Riot traditionally times new agent and map reveals to the showmatch held on the final day of a major tournament, right before the grand final. This time, however, things could be different. The Champions 2026 grand final is scheduled for October 18, while the showmatch, judging by the schedule, will take place a day earlier, on October 17, alongside the semifinal matches.

It's not yet known why Riot decided to change the usual format. The developers may want to separate the new agent reveal from the grand final so that both events get maximum attention.

It's also possible that viewers will get another separate announcement on the final day of the tournament. It's worth remembering that this information is unofficial for now. Riot Games hasn't confirmed either the reveal date or the fact that a new agent will be announced at Champions. Everything should become clear during the tournament's finals weekend in Shanghai. As a reminder, according to earlier rumors, the upcoming character will be a duelist.
