Valorant Unleashes Game-Changing 7.12 Update: Agent Overhauls, Performance Boosts, and Tactical Fixes Dominate the Battlefield!
Valorant 7.12 PBE testing is currently underway, and the official patch notes for the latest public beta have been announced on the ValorantPBE subreddit. The VALORANT 7.12 Early Patch Notes bring changes to agents Skye and Gekko, along with various performance updates and bug fixes. Here's a detailed overview of the early patch notes for the VALORANT 7.12 Update.
Agent Updates:
GEKKO:
One of Gekko's distinctive abilities is the ability to reclaim his creatures. To enhance this process, the reclaim channel time for Dizzy (E), Wingman (Q), and Thrash (X) has been reduced from 2 seconds to 1 second. Specifically for Dizzy (E), improvements have been made to the shooting speed and projectile travel speed, reducing the pre-fire targeting delay from 0.5 seconds to 0.35 seconds and increasing the missile speed from 7000 to 10000.
SKYE:
The adjustments for Skye are focused on making her use Trailblazer (Q) more deliberately. The changes include disabling camera movement during the leap and preventing a concuss explosion if Trailblazer is destroyed mid-leap. This alteration encourages Skye players to think strategically about using the leap for distance or for clearing multiple angles. Additionally, the Trailblazer explosion now affects both allies and enemies, requiring increased coordination and intentionality for Skye and her team.
Trailblazer (Q):
- Camera movement disabled during the leap.
- Destruction of Trailblazer mid-leap no longer causes a concuss explosion.
- Trailblazer plays the destruction voice line when destroyed during the leap.
- Trailblazer explosion now concusses both allies and enemies.
Performance Updates:
A significant performance update involves the Raw Input Buffer. The beta tag has been removed, and the default value has been changed from off to on. This adjustment will not impact existing setting values.
Bug Fixes:
Several bug fixes have been implemented, addressing issues related to agent abilities. Notably, kills will now be correctly awarded while controlling an ability, fixing problems with Sova, Gekko, and Cypher. Additionally, a fix for an Overtime Voting issue in Premier mode ensures that the "Waiting for Opponents" message no longer appears behind the voting team.
These VALORANT 7.12 Early Patch Notes provide insight into the changes and improvements players can expect in the upcoming update.
