KOI unveils VALORANT roster
Spanish esports organization KOI has officially unveiled its new VALORANT roster. The club has yet to sign a fifth player, which will be starxo. However, the announcement of the Polish esportsman will take place a little later due to contractual features.
We have an important message from Berlin. Say hello to our VCT team. To be continued...
The experienced koldamenta, who spent the last season with Guild Esports, became the team captain. Here, the 27-year-old Spaniard spent his last season, finishing in the top three at VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers.
Along with him, another former member of Guild Esports, trexx, joined the team. The 18-year-old also spent his final season with the British club.
The next addition to the KOI roster was Sheydos. The 21-year-old esportsman previously played for the Gambit Esports/ M3 Champions team, with which he won the VCT 2021: CIS Stage 1 Masters, VCT 2021: CIS Stage 3 Challengers 1, VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs and VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, and also reached the finals of VALORANT Champions 2021.
The last known signing of the organization was Wolfen — the young Bulgarian player spent the last season with Case Esports, with whom he won VRL 2022 Spain: Rising Stage 2, and also got into the TOP-3 at VRL 2022 Spain: Rising Stage 1 and VRL 2022: Finals.
BARBARR, who led the Guild Esports team for two years, has been appointed as the new coach of KOI. Goked, a former Case Esports coach, became his assistant.
The fifth member of the team is expected to be starxo. The 21-year-old Pole is a former Acend player, where he managed to win VCT 2021: Europe Stage 1 Masters and VALORANT Champions 2021. However, the esportsman was probably not included in the announcement due to a valid contract with the club.
KOI is one of the most popular esports organizations in Spain, led by celebrity and streamer Ibay Llanos. At the same time, the club got into the affiliate program, which will also feature Team Vitality, Karmine Corp, FUT Esports, BBL Esports, Fnatic, Team Liquid, NAVI, Team Heretics and Giants Gaming.
The first championship for the European team will be VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, which will take place from February to March in Brazil.
