Zander released from contract with Version1
North American esports organization Version1 has announced changes to its VALORANT roster, releasing Zander from his contract. Note that the 21-year-old Canadian managed to publish a post in which he announced the signing of a contract with a new club.
Zander joined Version1 at the end of last year, having moved from SoaR Gaming. Last season, the 21-year-old Canadian esportsman made it to the top 8 at the Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship and Knights Gauntlet 2022: Championship, and also managed to make it to the playoffs of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers.
However, following the announcement that Version1 was not a partner, the organization allowed its players to consider individual offers. At the same time, Zander announced the search for a new team, leaving questions about his future in recent months.
It is noteworthy that the 21-year-old Canadian is already training with the 100 Thieves team. Probably, Zander will join the team as a substitute player.
100 Thieves has partnered with Riot Games and will take part in the top competitive ecosystem alongside Sentinels, Cloud9, NRG Esports, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, Leviatán Esports, and KRÜ Esports.
In turn, the future of Version1 in the discipline remains a big question. At the same time, Zellsis, a former player of the team, has already managed to join Cloud9, while the remaining members of the team have not yet shared their plans for the future.
Updated Version1 roster for the VALORANT discipline:
- wippie (inactive)
- penny (inactive)
- effys (inactive)
- Immi (coach)
