FNS became an NRG player
North American esports organization NRG has announced the strengthening of its VALORANT roster by signing with FNS. The former OpTic Gaming player joins the team led by Chet the day before.
FNS has spent the last two seasons as part of Team Envy/OpTic Gaming. Here, the 30-year-old Canadian managed to win Cloud9 To The Skyes, VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 2, VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík. In addition, together with the team, he managed to get into the TOP-3 at First Strike North America, VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers 1, VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers, VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen and VALORANT Champions 2022.
As a reminder, NRG is partnering with Riot Games and will take part in the top competitive ecosystem in America along with Sentinels, 100 Thieves, Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, Leviatán Esports, and KRÜ Esports.
Considering the latest rumors, NRG will also sign other members of OpTic Gaming as well as pick up the ardiis sniper who refused to move to NAVI with the rest of FunPlus Phoenix. The sixth player of the team should be thwifo, who spent the last season in T1.
The team's new roster is expected to debut at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Kickoff Tournament, which will take place from February to March in Brazil.
