Chet Officially Leads NRG Lineup
North American esports organization NRG has announced the appointment of Chet as the head coach of the VALORANT roster. Note that the 26-year-old American specialist previously led the OpTic Gaming team, the backbone of which is likely to become part of NRG in the near future.
It's finally time for NRG's VALORANT roster reveal week. But before we start announcing our players, we would like to bring home our coach. Chet has officially returned to NRG.
Chet has led OpTic Gaming (formerly Team Envy) for the past year. Together with the team, the 26-year-old American specialist became the winner of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík, and also made it to the top three at the end of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers, VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers, VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen and VALORANT Champions 2022.
Interestingly, Chet has worked for NRG in the past, where he got his start in VALORANT. However, in April last year, the 26-year-old American specialist moved to TSM, from where he later headed Team Envy.
As a reminder, NRG is partnering with Riot Games and will take part in the top competitive ecosystem in America along with Sentinels, 100 Thieves, Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, Leviatán Esports, and KRÜ Esports.
Given the latest rumors, NRG will also sign the backbone of OpTic Gaming as well as pick up the ardiis sniper who refused to move to NAVI with the rest of FunPlus Phoenix. The sixth player of the team should be thwifo, who spent the last season in T1.
Probable composition of NRG in the VALORANT discipline:
- s0m
- FNS
- ardiis
- crashies
- Victor
- thwifo
- Chet (head coach)
