Riot Games introduced the game mode "Premier"
Riot Games has officially unveiled the "Premier" game mode. Alpha testing of an analogue of competitive matchmaking will appear in VALORANT next week.
When designing the VCT 2023 ecosystem, we wanted to create a bridge between the game and esports, a competitive mode that would allow millions of players to experience the very atmosphere of a big competition. Next week our team will release an alpha version of this mode, called Premier, and make it available to the first group of players. In the future, we will open it to everyone, and this small team will allow you to check and debug everything faster.
The "Premier" mode allows you to create your own team and take part in a competitive season with a schedule of matches known in advance. After creating a team of five players, the participants will have access to matches with opponents of the corresponding level. Each team will receive a place in the division and will participate in a season consisting of weekly matches and tournaments.
Each season will last several weeks. Teams that give it their all will advance to the final tournament, where they will be able to compete for the title of champions.
It is reported that the first major testing of the game mode "Premier" will be available to players from Brazil. Here, early adopters will monitor a number of parameters, including the ability to create teams (with logos and colors), server load, the correct operation of the matchmaking system, and much more.
