mun leaves REJECT coaching chair
Japanese esports organization REJECT has announced the departure of mun as the coach of the VALORANT roster. It is reported that the contract of the 24-year-old Japanese specialist came to an end and he became a free agent.
Our VALORANT coach mun's contract has expired and he was forced to leave the team. mun was the best coach that all the players trusted, combining his incredible understanding of the game and coaching skills. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to mun for his contributions to REJECT and wish him every success in the future.
mun took over the leadership of REJECT at the start of the current season, having moved from a similar position with Crazy Raccoon. However, in ten months, the 24-year-old Japanese specialist failed to take the team to the international level, taking fourth place at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Japan Stage 2 Challengers Playoffs and getting into the TOP-6 at the end of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: East Asia Last Chance Qualifier.
It was a short period of time, but I am very grateful for the support from REJECT. Thanks to this, I was able to spend fun and rewarding days with the staff and players. I hope you continue to support former REJECT members and new members of the club. I really appreciate the players, staff and fans, — wrote in a farewell message mun
However, the Japanese club was not included in the list of partners to participate in VCT 2023. As a result, the REJECT organization was forced to disband its team, some of which had already found new teams. In particular, Reita joined ZETA DIVISION, while iNTRO most recently became a Gen.G Esports player.
REJECT's current VALORANT roster:
- takej
- Anthem
- KeNNy (head coach)
- mikke (analyst)
