TenZ extends contract with Sentinels for next season
The North American esports organization Sentinels has announced a contract extension with TenZ for the next competitive season. Recall that earlier there were rumors about the imminent departure of one of the strongest players in the region after the expiration of the contract. However, the 21-year-old Canadian decided to stay with the club he will face in VCT 2023.
TenZ has been part of the Sentinels since March 2021. In a season and a half, the Canadian became the winner of VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Masters, VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers 2, VCT 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers Finals, VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík and VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs, and also performed at VALORANT Champions 2021.
However, the past season cannot be credited to a player who has been considering leaving the Sentinels for a long time.
The Sentinels are one of ten organizations that have made it into the VALORANT American League, which will be based in Los Angeles next season. They will be joined by four other organizations from North America (Cloud9, 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses and NRG Esports), three from Brazil (LOUD, FURIA and MIBR) and two from Latin America (KRU Esports and Leviatán Esports).
The North American organization is currently active in the transfer market. The club is expected to part ways with ShahZaM, while also signing Brazilians pANcada and Sacy. In addition, the Sentinels have already unveiled a revamped coaching staff, including SyykoNT and kaplan, and have also signed zekken. The organization also tried to keep dapr, but the player himself did not agree to become a substitute for the next season.
Possible Sentinels roster for VALORANT:
- zekken
- pANcada
