Teams will send applications to join the affiliate program this week

According to insider George Geddes, VALORANT teams will be submitting applications to partner with Riot Games this week. Almost all organizations in key regions intend to submit their applications to Riot Games this week for the opportunity to work with the game developer in future seasons.

If accepted, these teams will become the first members of one of the three partner leagues in 2023. It is reported that the deadline for applying for entry into the American League is Friday, June 17th. Eight to ten teams from North America, Brazil and Latin America will participate in this league. However, the number of teams can be increased.

The American League is expected to be most likely based in the US. This means that the Brazilian and Latin American teams will have to move to the US in order to comply with all competition rules.

According to a VALORANTZone report, the minimum wage for players in the American League will be in the order of $50,000 per year. However, this figure is also subject to change. At the same time, large organizations from North America currently pay their players from $10,000 to $20,000 per month.

Riot Games has also requested financial data from organizations along with plans for content production and marketing teams for VALORANT. Some esports clubs have also approached the publisher asking them to apply for next year.

Teams will be informed if they have reached the next stage of the process within a month to six weeks. The final selection process will begin in September.

After VALORANT Champions 2022, teams that have been accepted into the league are likely to make roster changes. Other organizations may pull out of VALORANT as international leagues will be the only route to world championships.

The partner system, which was announced by Riot Games at the end of April, will begin in 2023 with three international leagues that will be played both on LAN and online, subject to medical and safety regulations. North American teams will compete against teams from Latin America and Brazil. Teams from Europe, Russia, Turkey and MENA will unite in the second league. Teams from Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, South Asia and Oceania will make up the third league.
