Fnatic moved Magnum and BraveAF to inactive

The British esports organization Fnatic has announced changes to the starting roster for the VALORANT discipline, moving Magnum to inactive and BraveAF to inactive. At the same time, the club intends to rebuild the roster, which failed to show itself in the VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík.

Magnum has been playing for Fnatic since April last year. During the season, the 20-year-old Czech esportsman managed to win VCT 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 2, and also get into the top three at VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals, VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík, VCT 2021: Europe Stage 3 Challengers 2 and VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers.

In turn, BraveAF joined the team at the beginning of the new season. However, after the completion of VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers, the organization suspended the Russian cybersportsman, who allowed himself careless statements on social networks.

As we continued to evaluate the possibilities of how we could keep BraveAF in the roster, we realized more and more that, unfortunately, his position was untenable. This is due to the lack of clarity regarding the ability to come to the bootcamp, LAN tournaments, and even our ability to continue paying him due to political restrictions. So we're saying goodbye to BraveAF on May 1 - though we've taken this step as a team and organization to give him an extra chunk of the Challengers prize pool that we hope will help take care of him in the near future. If there was a world where we could reasonably keep it, we would, but unfortunately that's not possible.

Colin Johnson, Team Director

The latest championship for Fnatic was VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík, which saw the team finish in last place, losing both matches in the group stage. At the same time, the organization will have to deal with the loaned players, who, apparently, will not be useful in the new composition of the club.

Fnatic's current VALORANT roster is as follows:

  • booster.
  • Mystic.
  • Derke.
  • Magnum (inactive).
  • otom (reserve player).
  • Fearoth (loan).
  • H1ber (loan).
  • BraveAF (inactive).
  • mini (head coach).
