Fearoth joins Fnatic on loan

British esports organization Fnatic announced changes to its VALORANT starting roster by leasing Fearoth from Alliance. The 25-year-old French esportsman will help the team at VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík, replacing BraveAF.

With VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík just around the corner, we need to provide an update on the team roster. While BraveAF has been suspended pending an investigation, it was clear to us in advance that he would not be able to attend the Masters due to visa issues and circumstances related to international flights from Russia.

Since our team is so heavily built around his presence and opportunity at Sova, our eyes were set on attracting someone who can match that level of skill and potential. It was vital to bring in someone who can provide the same strong scouting capabilities to the team, as well as being a powerful backbone in the roster. While we recently added otom to the team as a fallback, its agent pool in this case doesn't match what we're looking for.

Fearoth spent the last year with Alliance, winning the VCT 2021: Europe Stage 1 Challengers 2 and Finest Invitational with the team, as well as finishing in the top three at VALORANT Open Tour: France - Fall Qualifier and VALORANT Open Tour: France Finals. The last tournament for the 25-year-old Frenchman as part of Alliance was the VRL 2022 Northern Europe: Polaris Stage 1, following which the team took fourth place.

Recall that the day before, the organization excluded BraveAF from the starting lineup of the team. The reason for the changes in the composition was the statements of the 26-year-old Russian cybersportsman against the backdrop of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

Fnatic's roster for VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík is as follows:

  • booster.
  • Mystic.
  • Derke.
  • Magnum.
  • Fearoth.
  • otom (reserve player).
  • mini (head coach).
  • BraveAF (inactive).
