The composition of the participants of VRL CIS: Milestone Stage 1 has been determined

Based on the results of the closed qualifier, the final composition of the participants of VRL CIS: Milestone Stage 1 was determined. Recall that in the championship, which will be held online from February 15 to March 21, eight teams from the CIS will compete for a prize fund of 1,500,000₽ (≃ $19,266).

The open qualifier for VRL CIS: Milestone Stage 1 did not bring any surprises. With the exception of the losses of tyeasy and PURPURE to Team hz, there were few upsets and the other three teams had little difficulty on their way to the closed qualifiers. At the same time, EZ KATKA and One Breath Gaming made it to the closed qualifiers without dropping a single card, while FishkaVTom had to make more efforts in the fight for their slot.

In the closed qualifiers, the above four teams were joined by invited SMARACIS Esports, next viigraem, B8 Esports and Ax3. While the main disappointment of the selection was the FishkaVTom team, which lost in a row to SMARACIS Esports and Team hz, the sensation was the next viigraem team, which managed to outplay EZ KATKA and One Breath Gaming, thereby obtaining a place in VRL CIS: Milestone Stage 1. In the lower part EZ KATKA and One Breath Gaming, who turned out to be stronger than Ax3 and Team hz, respectively, got their tickets to the tournament.

Recall that the group stage of VRL CIS: Milestone Stage 1 will be held in a round robin format. According to its results, five teams will advance to the playoffs, where they will compete for the main prize — a ticket to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Promotion Tournament.
