At the Tokyo Game Show 2024, a new story trailer for Life is Strange: Double Exposure was unveiled. The trailer introduces the game’s storyline, with Max Caulfield returning as the main character, now older and more experienced since the events of the original game.
In the trailer, Max shares that after years of searching for her path, she found herself at Caledonian University, stepping in temporarily as a photography teacher. During her time there, she formed many new friendships, including a particularly close bond with a girl named Safi.
At first glance, it seems Max's life has finally settled down since the first game. However, one tragic night changes everything when Max witnesses Safi being murdered by a stranger. This shocking event reawakens Max’s time-manipulating powers, allowing her to open a portal to a parallel world where Safi is still alive. But, just like with Chloe Pierce, Safi remains in danger, as her death was meant to happen, and Max's intervention has only delayed the inevitable.
Max now has the ability to travel between two worlds: the original one where Safi was killed and the parallel one where Safi survived. This dual-world traversal becomes a key gameplay mechanic and Max’s only hope of saving her friend.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure is scheduled for release on October 29, with versions available for PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch. Players who purchase the Ultimate Edition will gain early access to the first two chapters two weeks before the official launch.
Konami showcased Metal Gear Solid Delta at Tokyo Game Show 2024, giving fans a look at the remake’s gameplay. A 11-minute gameplay video was also uploaded to YouTube.
The presentation opened with Snake’s arrival in the mission zone, deep in a dense forest. His first objective is to locate communication equipment to contact The Boss.
While the demo didn’t focus much on intense gameplay, it highlighted the game’s interface and cutscenes. Snake still has the ability to climb trees and move stealthily through the jungle. In the demo, he sneaks up on an alligator and uses a tranquilizer dart on a snake. A new feature was also introduced: Naked Snake can now cover himself in mud to reduce his visibility to enemies, but this effect is temporary, as the mud will eventually dry and fall off.
Konami placed significant emphasis on the revamped interface. Players can now pause cutscenes and fast-forward through radio conversations. Additionally, Snake’s outfit can be changed from the inventory menu, and his appearance directly affects his visibility to enemies. A camouflage gauge is displayed on the screen, which reacts to Snake’s outfit, how muddy he is, and the surrounding lighting.
As of now, there is no release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta, but it has been confirmed that the game will be available on all current platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
Our IPSF special agents have made all the preparations and are ready to hand out the entrance permissions to all who seek truth, fame, money, or answers to their own questions.

Since 1996, the Tokyo Game Show has been a key event for video game enthusiasts and industry professionals, providing updates on upcoming projects and offering hands-on previews. As one of the largest gaming events of the year, it plays a crucial role in revealing the future of the industry.
As the year nears its end, the final months often bring some of the biggest gaming announcements. These events give developers, publishers, and other industry figures a platform to showcase what’s coming next. With Summer Game Fest and major showcases from Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo already behind us, the focus now shifts to the larger conventions. Gamescom is already generating excitement, and next up is the Tokyo Game Show, poised to keep the momentum going.
What to Expect From This Year’s Tokyo Game Show
Major Developers in the Spotlight
One of the key attractions of events like the Tokyo Game Show is the chance for gamers to get up-close and personal with future games and products. This year’s event is set to impress, with a staggering 3,190 exhibition booths. Some of the biggest names in the industry, including Capcom, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, and Sega, will be in attendance. Notably, PlayStation will also be making a return to the Tokyo Game Show for the first time since 2019, a significant move given the company’s recent trend of skipping live events outside its own. It will be interesting to see what PlayStation has planned for this occasion.
Exciting Game Announcements and Reveals
The main draw of these conventions is the plethora of game announcements and the opportunity to test upcoming titles, and the Tokyo Game Show is no exception. While it’s impossible to know all the surprises in store, several exciting reveals are anticipated. One definite highlight will be the next project from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the developers behind Like a Dragon, which is set to be unveiled at the show.
There are also plenty of rumors swirling about potential announcements. PlayStation’s return has fueled speculation about a possible Bloodborne remaster and the reveal of the PS5 Pro. While these rumors remain unconfirmed, the tech-focused nature of the Tokyo Game Show makes such announcements plausible, and many are hopeful they will come to fruition.
High Expectations for Tokyo Game Show 2024
While showcasing new technology and games is a given, there are high hopes for some specific announcements. A Bloodborne remaster might be wishful thinking, but there are several games that have been quiet for some time, and fans are eager for updates. With Square Enix as a featured guest, a Kingdom Hearts 4 update is a real possibility.
Additionally, Bandai Namco’s presence could bring a closer look at Little Nightmares 3. The game was delayed until 2025, disappointing fans, but a new trailer at the Tokyo Game Show could reignite excitement for the project. With Gamescom setting the stage for big announcements, the expectations for this year’s Tokyo Game Show are sky-high, but the event is sure to deliver plenty of exciting insights.
