Shock leaves Ghost Gaming
North American esports organization Ghost Gaming has announced changes to its Rocket League roster, saying goodbye to Shock. Now the 23-year-old American, after spending a year and a half in the team, becomes a free agent.
Today we say goodbye to Shock. Thank you for what you have given both on and off the field over the past two seasons.
Shock joined the Ghost Gaming roster in the fall of 2021, having moved from the Susquehanna Soniqs camp. For a year and a half spent in the team, the 23-year-old American player became the winner of the AAA Challenger Series - Super Event 1, Nissan Crew Battles and Seasonal Shootout: Season 9 - Premier League, and also got into the top three winners according to the results of Beyond Entertainment: ASTRONAUTS Community 3v3 Beta, Hercules Tires Invitational 2 and AAA Challenger Series - Super Event 2.
However, at the start of the new season, Ghost Gaming failed to reveal its full potential, as the team managed to play only in the RLCS 2022-23 - Fall: North America Regional 2 - Fall Cup and took the last place. At the same time, the departure of Shock is not the first change in the composition of the team, which also said goodbye to tcorrell in early January.
Now the North American organization will have to find newcomers to prepare for the start of the winter split. The next championship for Ghost Gaming will be the open qualifier for RLCS 2022-23 - Winter: North America Regional 1 - Winter Open.
