Threes steps down as Pioneers head coach
The Threes announced they were stepping down as coach of the Pioneers ' Rocket League discipline roster. The 26-year-old American specialist announced this on his personal Twitter page, where he wished to start looking for a new team for the next split.
Restricted free agent. Thank you Pioneers for giving me the opportunity to take three 16 year olds under my wing and take them to the international stage. I am proud to have spent time with them and wish them all the best for the future.
The Threes took over the Pioneers in May 2022. In seven months, the 26-year-old American specialist helped the team win RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: OCE Regional Event 2, RLCS 2021-22 - Spring: OCE Regional Event 3 and RLCS 2022-23 - Fall: OCE Regional 1 - Fall Open, and also get into the top three winners at the end of RLCS 2022-23 - Fall: OCE Regional 2 - Fall Cup and RLCS 2022-23 - Fall: OCE Regional 3 - Fall Invitational.
In addition, under his leadership, the team took part in the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - Spring Split Major (9th-12th place), Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 - World Championship (17th-19th place) and Rocket League Championship Series 2022-23 - Fall Split Major (15th-16th place).
The Pioneers roster is likely to face big changes, as Superlachie told about his departure from the team a little earlier. It remains to be seen how the organization is going to strengthen its composition without commenting on the upcoming reshuffle.
The next championship for the Pioneers is RLCS 2022-23 - Winter: Oceania Regional 1 - Winter Open, which will be held online from February 3rd to 5th.
