Details Rocket League Championship Series 2022-23
- The season will be divided into three splits: autumn, winter and spring
- Each split will consist of three regional events and a major. From now on, the names of regional tournaments are standardized and are called Open, Cup and Invitational (example: Fall Open, Fall Cup and Fall Invitational)
- At the end of each split, majors will be organized in a LAN format. The distribution of invites by region will remain unchanged
- Each split will have a unique format for participants
- Teams earn points during Regionals and International Majors to qualify for the World Championship. The number of points earned at Majors is still highly dependent on regional events
- The system for accruing rating points has been adjusted
- Two parts (North and South) of the Asia-Pacific region were merged into a single Asia-Pacific region
Format of each split at RLCS 2022-23
- Fall Split: Swiss Bracket - Eight Teams in the Playoffs with a Single Elimination
- Winter split: Group stage with round robin (four participants in each group) - twelve teams in the playoffs with a single elimination
- Spring Split: Double Exclusion Grid (Upper and Lower)
The format of the qualification for each regional event remains unchanged. In addition, the format of the World Championship will remain the same with last year's distribution of invites by region. The World Championship itself will be held from 4 to 13 August.
