Diablo IV Patch 3.1.3 Breakdown: Bug Fixes and Mephisto Portal Updates
Blizzard released a small Patch 3.1.3 for Diablo IV, set to go live on August 12. In this update, the developers focused on targeted bug fixes, resolving boss visual artifacts, and optimizing seasonal progress.
Season of the Death Awakening
When completing the Season Journey Chapter III objective "Lit Beacons," nightmare dungeons completed with an Escalation Sigil and the "Rifts" affix are now correctly counted.
Druid
Fixed an issue where casting Petrofy against the Corrupted Reaper visually distorted her wings.
Necromancer
Darkness Skills no longer obscure or overlap the model of the Corrupted Reaper.
Warlock
Fixed an issue with the Dark Prison skill when using the Chain Aura variant, which caused the warlock's model to become transparent to other players.
War Plans
Developers fixed teleportation to the Infernal Hordes via War Plans, which occasionally failed on difficulty levels below Torment.
Bosses and Encounters
Party members joining an ongoing battle against the Echo of Mephisto can now use the portal to transition directly to the third phase. Additionally, the corpse of the Corrupted Reaper is now guaranteed to disappear upon her re-summon.
The update turned out to be purely technical, yet undeniably positive. Blizzard refrained from touching class balance, focusing instead on resolving annoying bugs that directly hindered smooth gameplay.
The main highlights of the patch are the fix for the seasonal quest progression with Escalation Sigils and the adjustment to the Mephisto portal, which previously caused players to lose phase progress during the fight. It is a solid, timely hotfix that enhances overall quality of life without the risk of disrupting the current meta balance.
