Fallout is coming back: Season 2 premieres in December 2025, Season 3 already in the works
Amazon Prime Video has announced that the second season of the Fallout series will premiere in December 2025, along with confirmation that the show has been renewed for a third season.
The news was revealed during Amazon's annual upfront presentation in New York, where it was confirmed that the show will return this winter. This signals strong confidence in the success of the continuation, especially considering that filming wrapped only last week.
The announcement of a December release came as a surprise — particularly after production was halted earlier this year due to wildfires in Los Angeles. Many fans had expected the next episodes to arrive no sooner than 2026. However, Amazon has confirmed that the series is moving full steam ahead.
Season 1 premiered in April and quickly gained massive popularity, with over 100 million viewers worldwide. The finale left Lucy (Ella Purnell), Maximus (Aaron Moten), and The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) on the brink of a new journey, while a post-credits teaser hinted that the characters would head to the legendary New Vegas in Season 2.
That tease has now been confirmed: Amazon and Bethesda officially stated that Season 2 will take place in the iconic New Vegas from Fallout: New Vegas. While plot details remain under wraps, it's already known that Robert House, aka Mr. House, will play a role in the story.
Additionally, leaks from the set suggest fans will see some familiar locations from the game — including the iconic Dinky the T-Rex and the Lucky 38 casino.
Following the success of the first season, there’s little doubt that the next chapter will be just as thrilling. Fans are eagerly awaiting more game-inspired references, a gripping storyline, and the arrival of new, colorful characters. With New Vegas as the backdrop, the series has endless potential — and we can only hope Season 2 takes full advantage of it.
