Rumors: Six Invitational 2024 will be held in Brazil

According to Lungu_19, the next Six Invitational 2024 will take place in Brazil. The developers have not yet officially announced the venue for the next major championship in the discipline, but there is a possibility that Ubisoft will want to reveal their plans ahead of the Six Invitational 2023 grand final, which takes place tomorrow, February 19th.

The news that Ubisoft may be hosting the Six Invitational 2024 in Brazil is a reflection of the country's increased popularity in the context of hosting international esports competitions. Last year, IEM Rio Major 2022 was held in the CS:GO discipline, while another major event, IEM Rio 2023, will take place in Rio de Janeiro in the spring.

In addition, in recent years, Rainbow Six has gained immense popularity in Brazil, where quite strong teams have appeared. At the moment, the w7m esports team claims to be the champion of the Six Invitational 2023, having managed to get through to the grand finals of the competition.

Notably, Ubisoft has never hosted a tournament in Brazil before. The Six Invitational series has traditionally come to Canada, France and Sweden, but now, probably, the developers want to take the next step towards the development of eSports in Latin America.

The Six Invitational 2023 takes place from February 7 to 19 in Montreal at Place Bell. As part of the championship, twenty teams from Europe, Asia, North and South America are fighting for a total prize pool of $3,000,000.
