SyAIL leaves SANDBOX Gaming
South Korean esports organization SANDBOX Gaming has announced changes to its Rainbow Six roster, saying goodbye to SyAIL. Recall that the 22-year-old South Korean player played for the team over the past year.
Today we say goodbye to SyAIL. We thank SyAIL for everything he has done during his time with the SANDBOX Gaming Rainbow Six team and wish him all the best as he moves on to the next chapter of his career.
SyAIL joined SANDBOX Gaming in October last year, having moved from the mantis FPS camp. During the year, the 22-year-old South Korean player helped the team win the Rainbow Six Gyeonggi Cup - 2022 and Korean Open 2022 - Summer, as well as get into the top three at the Korean Open 2022 - Spring, Asia-Pacific League 2022 - North Division - Stage 2, Asia- Pacific League 2022 - North Division - Stage 3 and Korean Open 2022 - Autumn.
In addition, together with SANDBOX Gaming, he took part in the Six Sweden Major 2021 (5th-8th place), Six Invitational 2022 (17th-20th place), Six Berlin Major 2022 (9th-12th place) and Six Jönköping Major 2022 (13th -16 place).
Possibly, the reason for the changes in the roster was not the most outstanding results at the international level, as a result of which the team took only 18th place in the leaderboard, without receiving a direct invite to the Six Invitational 2023.
These changes are coming just before the start of the Asia Pacific 2023 Closed Qualifier for the Six Invitational 2023. Here, the South Korean team will fight for one vacant slot in the main championship of the season. Since the qualifiers will begin on December 14, we should expect an early announcement about the future of the roster.
