Dr.Bestsiaer steps down as Elevate coach and retires
The North American esports organization Elevate has announced the departure of Dr.Bestsiaer as head coach of the Rainbow Six roster. It is reported that the 32-year-old Thai specialist has decided to end his professional career.
Today we thank Dr.Bestsiaer for announcing his retirement. We want to mark his journey and wish him good luck in his future endeavors.
Dr.Bestsiaer took over the Elevate team last April when the North American club signed Xavier Esports. In sixteen months, the 32-year-old Thai specialist has helped the team win several championships, including APAC League 2021 Playoffs - Stage 1, Operation League Thailand Season 5, REKT - The MEX Gauntlet and APAC League 2022 Playoffs - Stage 1.
In addition, under his leadership, the team got into the TOP-3 at the end of APAC South 2021 - Stage 2, APAC League 2021 Playoffs - Stage 2, World eSports Challenge - 2021 and APAC South 2022 - Stage 1, and also took part in the Six Invitational 2022 (9th-12th place) and Six Berlin Major 2022 (5th-8th place).
The next championship for the Asian team should be Asia-Pacific League 2022 - South Division - Stage 3, which will start at the end of September. At this point, Elevate will have enough time to introduce a new head coach, as well as prepare for the third split of the competitive season.
From now on, the composition of Elevate in the Rainbow Six discipline is as follows:
- DCH
- Sapper
- sprOnigiri
- Markshortboyz
