Wildcard Gaming left without a coach
The management of Wildcard Gaming announced on their Twitter account and other media about the termination of the contract with the ex-head coach of the Rainbow Six team, Willy 'R0usty' Turunen. He became part of the organization on 16 June last year and has been with the club for almost a year.
After the mentor joined the ranks of Wildcard Gaming, the players repeatedly participated in various events of various scales, but they never managed to achieve great success. The mentor helped his team take 6th place at APAC South 2021 Stage 2 and Oceanic Nationals 2021 Stage 2. Notable achievements include finishing 7th at APAC South 2021 Stage 3 ($2,000) and APAC South 2022 Stage 1 ($2,000), as well as 4th place at Oceanic National 2022 Stage 1 ($2,132). The quintessence of success with the presence of a coach in the person of r0usty was the performance of the players at the Oceanic Championship Series 2022 Stage 1.
Where Vil 'r0usty' Turunen will continue his career is currently unknown. The mentor announced that he was looking for a new organization to call home.
At the moment, Wildcard Gaming has six esports players, including a reserve player. The Australian six was completed on March 11 this year with the arrival of Matthew 'Oj' Grech and Tien 'EmoRin' Lam.
Wildcard Gaming's Rainbow Six roster looks like this:
- Patrick 'Pat' Vines
- Vincent 'Vincere' Daniel
- Joseph 'Milostka' Kaleske
- Andreas 'Kyro' Kyriakou
- Matthew 'Oj' Grech
- Tien 'EmoRin' Lam
