Ubisoft announces Rainbow Six Mobile

Ubisoft has announced Rainbow Six Mobile. The game should appear on mobile devices running iOS and Android before the end of 2022.

Earlier today we announced that our team is working on a new title called Rainbow Six Mobile. We hold this project dear to our hearts and we are happy to share more details about our game.

After over 3 years of development, we felt it was the right time to announce the game and start testing with real players. Our goal is to develop the best R6 on mobile, and we can only do that with the help of the community. And honestly, the team can't wait to put our game in the hands of the players!

The gameplay of Rainbow Six Mobile will repeat the desktop version of the shooter. Players will fight in a five-on-five format on one map, but with a duration of 8-12 minutes. It is reported that operatives from the PC version with unique abilities will be added to the game. Rainbow Six Mobile will also have a feature to customize the interface and controls for the touch screen of smartphones and tablets.

Operatives will include at least Caveira, Bandit, Smoke, Valkyrie, Mute, Ash, Sledge, Twitch, Thermite, and Hibana. Some characters have been redesigned, but will have similar gear to the tabletop version of the game.

So far, two modes have been announced - with zone protection and bomb disposal, but Ubisoft promises that there will be more of them at the start. By the way, the game is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal.
