PUBG MOBILE Celebrates 7th Anniversary with Alan Walker Comeback Collaboration

PUBG MOBILE is gearing up for its seven-year anniversary with the highly anticipated return of its Alan Walker collaboration—a nostalgic moment for longtime fans. "Faded" and "On My Way" Return—Plus a New Track

The celebration wouldn’t be complete without “On My Way”, one of the most popular songs of 2019, performed by Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter, and Farruko. The track has officially been confirmed to return, setting the stage for another electrifying anniversary event.

Alongside it, “Faded”—one of the songs that helped launch Alan Walker’s career—will also make a comeback. Additionally, players can look forward to a brand-new, unannounced third track, rumored to be titled “Dust”.

When Does the Collaboration Start?

While PUBG MOBILE has yet to reveal full details, the Alan Walker collaboration is set to begin on March 7, coinciding with the launch of version 3.7: Golden Dynasty.

Beyond the music, fans are eagerly hoping for the return of in-game cosmetics from the original collaboration, particularly the iconic Alan Walker outfits. These skins remain among the rarest and most sought-after items in PUBG MOBILE, and their potential comeback has players buzzing with excitement.

A Legendary Collaboration That Defined an Era

To this day, the PUBG MOBILE x Alan Walker crossover is remembered as one of the most impactful collaborations in the game’s history. Often referred to as the "Old PUBG MOBILE" era, this period saw the game at its peak, consistently ranking as the #1 mobile game in the world. According to Sensor Tower, PUBG MOBILE surpassed 1 billion downloads in 2020, with major collaborations—like the one with Alan Walker—playing a significant role in that success.

Even now, many players argue that no other collaboration has surpassed the magic of the original Alan Walker event. While partnerships with Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and Resident Evil 2 (2019) were well-received, nothing quite compares to the nostalgia of cruising through Erangel with friends, blasting “On My Way” on the in-game car radio.

As PUBG MOBILE enters its seventh year, fans are eager to see if this comeback collaboration can recapture the magic of 2019. With new music, potential returning cosmetics, and a wave of nostalgia, this event is shaping up to be one of the biggest highlights of the year.
