PUBG Mobile Esports Roadmap 2024: A Glimpse into the Future
PUBG Mobile has provided a sneak peek into its esports roadmap for 2024, with the promise of more details emerging in due course. While specific events are yet to be fully unveiled, glimpses of the plans indicate fresh events and an expansion of the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) series on a regional scale.
Structural Revamp for PUBG Mobile Esports 2024
The esports landscape for 2024 will see a tiered structure consisting of four levels. At the pinnacle are the global events, with Super Leagues occupying the regional stage. These Super Leagues will serve as primary qualifiers for the prestigious PMGC 2024. The third tier includes PUBG Mobile National Championships and PMSL qualifiers, while the fourth tier encompasses Club Open leagues and regional third-party events.
Top-Tier Leagues and International Events
The highest echelons comprise three international events: PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO), PMGC, and the PMWI Mid-Season. A notable addition, PMGO, is scheduled to take place in Brazil, offering a substantial $500,000 prize pool. The PMGO will kick off the 2024 calendar from March to April. Following this, the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2024, a mid-season event with a staggering $3 million prize pool, is set to unfold in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
PMSL Taking Center Stage
The PMSL, functioning as a regional league, will host three phases: Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. Initially exclusive to the SEA region, PMSL will now extend its reach to other regions—EMEA, CSA, and the Americas. The Spring season is slated to commence in February, culminating in April, followed by the Summer season spanning April to July, and the Fall season concluding in October.
Shifting from Pro Leagues to PMSL
Notably, the Pro Leagues will be replaced by PMSL, signaling a shift in the esports landscape. Originally designed for the SEA region through partnerships with third-party organizations, the expansion of PMSL to EMEA, CSA, and the Americas aims to foster more collaborations and reduce associated expenses.
PMGC 2024 in the UK
The prestigious PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024 is set to unfold in the UK, featuring an impressive $3 million prize pool. Although the specific event format remains undisclosed, the anticipation for another thrilling championship is palpable.
As the finale event of PUBG Mobile esports for the current year unfolds, 16 teams vie for a $3 million prize pool at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall in Istanbul, Turkey. The esports world will witness the crowning of the champion on December 10, 2023, marking the culmination of a thrilling year in PUBG Mobile competition.
