Donuts USG said goodbye to the PUBG roster and left the discipline
The Japanese esports organization Donuts USG announced the parting with its PUBG roster and also announced its retirement from the discipline. Recall that the club has adhered to one core for two seasons - since the formation of the team in January 2021.
After PUBG JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 FINAL, we will end our activities as a division of PUBG. We would like to thank you for your support. In January 2021, we formed a division with the goal of becoming a team capable of winning big international championships. Over the past two years, we have steadily improved our results, and have not managed to take first place in Japan and participate in world competitions. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the coaches and players for their contributions to Donuts USG and wish them all the best for the future.
The former Donuts USG roster stayed together for two seasons with minor changes. During this time, the Japanese-Korean team became the winner of PUBG JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 Phase2, and also made it to the top three at PUBG JAPAN CHALLENGE 2021 FINAL, PSJ ALLTIER CHAMPIONSHIP #3 Japan Final, PUBG JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 Phase1 and PUBG JAPAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 FINAL.
In addition, the team took part in the PUBG Global Championship 2022, where they took 29th place and earned $16,772.
After the organization left the discipline, the fate of the team, which was a strong force in its region, remains unclear. The players have not yet commented on their future plans. However, before the start of the new season, there is enough time left to make a choice: continue playing together or go to different teams.
