Pokémon: Horizons will debut in the UK in december on BBC
Exciting news for Pokémon fans! A brand-new animated series is set to debut soon, exclusively available on BBC iPlayer and CBBC.
The series unfolds in the captivating Paldea region, the same location featured in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games. The main characters are Liko and Roy, accompanied by their loyal Pokémon partners, Sprigatito and Fuecoco.
Following the thrilling adventures of Ash Ketchum, a new era begins with Pokémon Horizons, marking the first new mainline animated Pokémon series in over 25 years. The official description of the show, unveiled in April in Japan, promises an exhilarating journey into the world of Pokémon.
At the heart of the story is Liko, a newcomer to the Indigo Academy, receiving her first Pokémon partner, Sprigatito. However, her adventures are just beginning as mysterious Researchers pursue her, aiming to seize the pendant necklace she wears. Coming to her aid are Friede, Captain Pikachu, and the daring Volt Tacklers, offering protection on their airship.
Simultaneously, a boy named Roy dreams of becoming a Pokémon Trainer, unaware of the secret hidden within the ancient Poké Ball he carries. Traveling together, Liko, Roy, and the Volt Tacklers embark on a journey towards new horizons, full of exciting discoveries.
