Unexpectedly, Madoka receives a package from her mother containing a Game Boy Pocket and a copy of the Pokémon Red game she played as a child. The game opens up something profound in her life.

This unique show is touted as the world's first "Pokémon human drama," where the main character evolves and grows through experiences connected to the Pokémon world.

Moreover, the show introduces various characters, each associated with a specific Pokémon. For example, the character Kageaki Hiyama is based on Charmander and experiences the fear of his flame extinguishing.

The role of Madoka is portrayed by Nanase Nishino, a former member of the Japanese idol group Nogizaka46 who has since become an actress, model, and television host. In 2022, Nishino received the Japan Academy Film Prize for Newcomer of the Year for her role in the crime film "Last of the Wolves."

"I was surprised to receive this offer just days after I'd told a friend that I'd like to work on something related to Pokémon someday," Nishino shared in a statement. "I'm very happy because I'm part of the generation that grew up with Pokémon, having played most of the series from the first to the latest." Don't miss the premiere of this unique show!
