Some fans believe that the newly revealed Pokémon could be a hint at a possible remake of the "Black & White" games
At the Pokémon Presents event, a new form of Pokémon was unveiled, which serves as an evolution stage for the existing Duraludon and is named Archaludon.
Duraludon's design was inspired by skyscrapers and likely draws from the architecture of the London skyline, as this Pokémon made its debut in the Pokémon Sword and Shield games, which were based on the United Kingdom.
Now, fans speculate that Archaludon might hint at upcoming Pokémon Black and White remakes. According to several social media posts, the newly evolved Pokémon bears resemblance to the Skyarrow Bridge, the central bridge in the Unova region where the events of Pokémon Black and White unfold.
The most recent Pokémon remakes, namely Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, were released in 2021. Following them was Pokémon Legends: Arceus in 2022, which, although not a remake, marked the latest game outside the main series.
It is anticipated that the next installment in the traditional RPG series will be the remakes of Pokémon Black and White. Pokémon games often drop hints about future locations, such as the wallpapers in Sword and Shield hinting at Scarlet and Violet. Therefore, it's entirely possible that Archaludon could serve as such a hint.
Additionally, a conjecture has arisen that one of the trainers showcased in the new trailer might be a relative of one of the Unova gym leaders. The trainer named Drayton, specializing in Dragon-type Pokémon, could be linked to Drayden, the Dragon-type gym leader in Pokémon Black. In Pokémon White, players encounter a gym leader named Iris.
Interestingly, the name Drayton translates to "Iris" in other languages, further reinforcing the potential connection between them.
