Rumor: Overwatch 2 will be released in February 2021
A Metro insider revealed that Blizzard will delay the start of the next season of the Overwath League until April next year due to problems with the launch of the second part of Overwatch. He said that there is a possibility of a beta or even a full release at BlizzCon, which is scheduled for February 2021. Initially, it was assumed that the game will be released before the end of 2020, as the game is being created for the current generation consoles, but as a result, Overwatch 2 will be released next year.
Metro's words can be trusted, as an insider got ahead of the developers and told fans about the gameplay details of the game before Blizzard's announcement. According to the developers, the game will have its own storyline campaign and new PvP modes, but at the same time it will be cross-platform with Overwatch 1. How it will work is not yet fully understood. It is not clear so much that game designers themselves do not fully understand what they want from the new part.
BlizzCon 2021 will have to take place online from February 19-21.
