Unexpected Overwatch 2 Patch Solves Kiriko Bug, Leaving Fans in Disbelief!
The most recent Overwatch 2 patch brings a range of fixes, but unfortunately, it fails to resolve one of Kiriko's most problematic bugs. Despite the anticipation among fans, the issue regarding Kiriko's Swift Step ability remains unresolved. The bug, which has persisted for several months, has caused significant frustration for players.
Kiriko, a beloved hero introduced in Overwatch 2's early access release, has gained popularity among players. As a Support hero from Japan, she possesses valuable abilities that can both heal allies and provide them with temporary invulnerability through her Protection Suzu. Additionally, her Swift Step allows her to teleport to nearby allies, making it a crucial ability for reaching teammates in need and escaping dangerous situations.
Regrettably, Kiriko's Swift Step ability has been plagued by bugs in recent seasons. These bugs have resulted in unintentional teleportations out of bounds or complete failures to teleport at all. Although numerous instances of these issues have been shared on social media, the problem has not been addressed in recent patches. The most recent update focuses on fixing a different bug related to Kiriko's melee animation when using Protection Suzu, ignoring the larger teleportation issue.
Interestingly, Blizzard previously claimed to have resolved Kiriko's teleportation bug in a past Overwatch 2 patch. However, the ineffectiveness of the fix is evident, as players continue to encounter the problem.
Despite the disappointment surrounding the unresolved bug, the latest update for Overwatch 2 brings numerous improvements and bug fixes across various aspects of the game, including character balances and map issues. Additionally, the update introduces this year's Summer Games event, which has sparked mixed opinions among fans.
