Cyberpunk 2077 Player Ratings On Metacritic
A couple of days after the release of Cyberpunk 2077, Metacritic opened player ratings. Users, to put it mildly, were unhappy with the game from CDPR.
True, this applies mainly to players on the previous generation consoles. On PS4, the game scored 2.0 out of 10, and on Xbox One, 2.5 out of 10. On PC, Cyberpunk 2077 was rated higher, here the game received a 6.2 out of 10. Nevertheless, this did not stop the game from selling 8 million copies and starting to generate income for CDPR on the first day after release.
Console users' dissatisfaction arose because of the technical component of the game at the start. Legacy set-top boxes barely keep up with the CDPR hit, consistently delivering low frame rates at near-minimum resolutions. Experts from Digital Foundry called the work of Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles of the previous generation "a complete mess".
CDRPs are already actively working on bug fixes. Just a few hours ago, the first patch was released, improving many aspects of the game.
