Alvar “Araneae” Martín is a long-time MOBA player and was indeed a pro-player a few years back. He played for the likes of SK Gaming, Natus Vincere,  Millenium, INTZ e-Sports, and many more over the course of his professional career. He had reached a very promising career back in the day, and now he will be the newst head coach of the EU LCS team, Origen.

He's set to replace Nicothepico, who, frankly, hasn't been doing all that he can to raise Origen back to the top of the standings once again. This change is to be effective immediately and Araneae will be seen as soon as possible on-stage as Origen's head coach. The team hasn't been doing well has they have last split, and the team thinks that this change is just what they need to bring the tides back around to their favor.

Here's what the Origen's captain, xPeke, had to say about this change:

“I want to personally welcome Alvar as Head Coach of Origen. I have known him from the beginning of this adventure and I believe in his abilities, his exigency and his knowledge of the game. He is a very positive person and has a strong bond with Origen – whenever we needed him, he has been there for us. Therefore, I know he will try his best and I have no doubt that he will do everything possible to maintain the highest level at all times.

I also want to publicly thank Nico for his work in Origen, since he has been with us for better and for worse. Thank you Nico, and I wish you good luck.”

Origen is slowly trying to get out of the relegation zone and picking up the pace to qualify for the playoffs. Time will tell if Origen can match all expectations of their fans and get into Worlds 2016 this year, with their new head coach leading the way.
