Potential strikes may occur in the LCS due to the implementation of new rules by Riot Games
The LCSPA Players Association is planning to organize a strike among players of the American League of Legends league due to rule changes by Riot Games and the cancellation of the regional amateur league.
Specifically, clubs are no longer required to field their youth teams in the NACL contenders tournament. As a result, many clubs have downsized their second rosters to optimize expenses.
According to the executive director of LCSPA, there was no communication from Riot Games regarding these changes to the association. Additionally, it is recognized that the discontinuation of the amateur league could potentially result in the premature conclusion of the careers of numerous young players, although a few talents have already made the transition to the professional LCS league.
