Unicorns of Love dropped three players
The management of Unicorns of Love announced that there have been dramatic changes in the League of Legends roster. Now there is not a single player left in the roster. All four of the starting roster have been disbanded and, apparently, the management is making the main bet on the Sexy Edition. Alexander 'NoNholy' Ovchinikov, Alexei 'Phlaty' Lemeshchuk and Alexander 'Lekcyc' Leksikov became free agents. German jungler Finn-Lukas 'Don Arts' Salomon remained in contact with the esports club and became a stand-in in Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition.
The situation that has arisen with the release of players from obligations to the club is most likely directly related to the Russian attack on Ukraine. As a result, sanctions were also used in the world of eSports. As for the League of Legends area specifically, Riot Games canceled the LCL Spring 2022, where 5,000,000 rubles and an invitation to the Mid-Season Invitational 2022 were to be raffled off. Because of this, the number of participants in MSI 2022 was reduced from 12 teams to 11.
Now Unicorns of Love has decided to completely abandon the roster with Russian players and for now will only support the Sexy Edition roster. In the near future, they are likely to please their fans with news about signing new players to their starting roster or transfer existing esports players from the academic roster. Management recently added a Korean player to the Sexy Edition roster, making the team fully stocked and ready to play in upcoming events. On May 24, Kim 'Winsome' Dong-kyung joined the group.
