G2 updated the main team roster and are back in the ranks

Finally, after 4 months without activity and a series of players leaving, G2 Esports recruited three young and promising players: Sergen 'BrokenBlade' Çelik, Victor 'Flakked' Lirola, Raphaël 'Targamas' Crabbé. In this case, there will also be two "oldies" from G2 - Jankos and Caps.

We learned about this from a post by G2 on their Twitter account. The tweet was a link to a video where the identities of new pro players are revealed in a very interesting and funny format.

After disappointing results at the two previous tournaments LEC Spring 2021 and LEC Summer 2021, where G2 took 3rd and 4th places, giving way to other teams at Worlds 2021, a series of transfers followed. I think that many will remember the sensational sale of Rekkles to the French team of Karmine Corp. And now, finally, the top European team is ready for battle again.

Well, let's take a closer look at the new players:

Former Royal Youth and TSM player BrokenBlade, who has shown extremely decent performance at the LCS for three years now and even made it to Worlds 2021 with Team SoloMid. The guy is only 21 years old, but he already has 5 years of experience in the professional scene.

Flakked is the Spaniard who is the least known of all the new G2 players who will be the new shooter. He started his career in 2018 with ASUS ROG Academy, from where he moved to S2V Academy, and later to their main team. After S2V Esports played for MAD Lions Madrid for a year. No special achievements were noticed for him, however, if G2 have their eyes on him, they surely know how to unleash his potential.

And, in my opinion, the most interesting newcomer is Targamas. Like BrokenBlade, he has 5 years of professional league experience despite being 21 years old. However, in addition to decent experience, the guy also has an impressive list of achievements and teams in which he was. Nine first places in European Minors and Majors since 2017 and appearances for such teams as Giants Gaming, Fnatic.Rising, Vitality.Bee, Misfits Premier, Karmine Corp.

What do we end up with? Another good decision from G2 managers? It's hard to say yet. But to dilute the esports roster with young and promising blood is a classic move. It will be interesting to see how the new guys play against the experienced G2 players.

Now the G2 Esports Leage of Legends roster looks like this:
