Fan Recreates Iconic Haunted Helmet from Halo: Reach with Stunning Detail
A talented Halo fan has recreated the iconic Haunted Helmet from Halo: Reach, bringing one of the game's most legendary armor pieces to life. This fan-made version of the Haunted Helmet stands out for its incredible attention to detail.
Originally introduced in Halo: Reach, the Haunted Helmet was a badge of honor for the game’s most dedicated players. Only those who amassed a staggering 20 million cR (the in-game currency) and reached the rank of Inheritor could unlock the helmet for just 1 cR. Its rarity and exclusivity added to its mystique. Now, 14 years later, the Haunted Helmet made its return in Halo Infinite through the Operation: Fleetcom update. However, it comes with a hefty price tag of 75,000 Spartan Points, although it is still much easier to obtain compared to its debut in Reach.
Reddit user Thucan1601 shared their impressive Haunted Helmet replica, which mirrors the original from Reach. The detail is remarkable, with the creator even adding RGB LED lights to give it a unique glow, stating that the lights "can work with any kind of Halo armor if used for cosplay." The project wasn’t completed overnight—it took over 40 hours of 3D printing, along with plenty of time spent sanding, painting, and wiring the LEDs.
Later this year, the Halo franchise will celebrate its 23rd anniversary. Over the years, Halo fans have created countless tributes, from impressive cosplay pieces to smaller, personal projects, such as a fan-made M90 shotgun keychain. These creations are a testament to the enduring legacy of the series, which continues to inspire fans across generations.
Meanwhile, developer 343 Industries is still actively updating Halo Infinite, though there’s no official word on a new installment in the series. Despite rumors of 343 Industries stepping back from the franchise, the company recently confirmed that they are still in charge of its future. Only time will tell what lies ahead for the next mainline Halogame.
