Shortly after the announcement of the maintenance of The Divison 2 for at least another year, the developers from Ubisoft Massive shared their plans for the development of the game. There is no need to wait for major updates until the end of 2021.

From the update map, it became known that in the next content update, players will have a completely new mode for the franchise. In addition, the developers plan to improve the progression of the characters, which should increase the variability of the builds.

However, while fans of the game continue to wait for fresh content, Ubisoft Massive invites them to remember the old days. The authors plan to re-release the seasons of the second year of maintenance for The Division 2.

The next, already the fifth season, will be a re-release of the first season. However, minor edits and special events will be released for the game on a regular basis.

Finally, another possible reason for extending game maintenance has emerged. It turns out that the number of unique users of The Division 2 reached 40 million, and in March 2020, with the release of the Warlords of New York DLC, a record number of players were attracted to the game.
