The coronavirus pandemic is hitting all industries, especially those that are already not very popular. So the arcade business hit the blow and SEGA is looking for ways out of this situation.
The company now intends to sell a key stake to Genda. Genda could get an 85.1% stake in SEGA. In this case, the amount of the transaction remains unknown.
At the same time, SEGA is not yet ready to abandon arcade machines completely. The company is considering a business restructuring and is ready to adapt to the conditions dictated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
