The games in development are slated for release in the spring of 2021. The story in the Doctor Who universe will be original, and Maze Theory will be in charge of it. For the VR game Doctor Who "The Edge of Time, the developers plan to release a sequel titled Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality.

The new game from Maze Theory and Kaigan Games will showcase other worlds to explore, as well as various monsters and characters. Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality will feature the tenth and thirteenth Doctor, and will be voiced by David Tennant and Jody Whitaker, who played their respective roles in the series.
