Activision Reveals Details of the Upcoming Warzone Integration With Modern Warfare 4

Activision has revealed the details of Call of Duty: Warzone’s integration with Modern Warfare 4. The two games merge with the start of Season 1 on November 6. Players can expect new maps, gameplay changes, every MW4 weapon, and Warzone’s arrival on Nintendo Switch.

Warzone will get two new maps at the start of the season. Hajin is a large Battle Royale map set across North and South Korea. The second map, Zodiac, was made for Resurgence and is built around a drone factory in South Korea. Fan favorites Rebirth Island and Verdansk will also return to the rotation during Season 1.

If you can’t wait for the new Warzone but your ping keeps you from playing comfortably, we recommend trying IceVPN. It works for all competitive games. For example, in How To Fix High Ping in CS2, we cut our ping by a factor of three thanks to its wide choice of servers.

Another of the most noticeable changes affects Tactical Sprint. It’s now available to every Operator without a dedicated perk, though it lasts a bit shorter. Players can now also drag teammates to safety while reviving them. Elite Perks are coming too, adding a fourth perk slot, but only one of them can be active at a time. On top of that, the developers improved visibility and footstep audio, tweaked weapon balance, and added movable interactive objects, such as fuel barrels, to Hajin, Zodiac, and Verdansk.

Every weapon from Modern Warfare 4 and Season 1 will be available in Warzone. Weapons from previous games, going back to Modern Warfare 2, will stay in the game as well.

Casual mode returns at launch for Battle Royale and Resurgence on all maps. Players will also be able to try limited-time modes such as Rally Point, Loaded Resurgence, and Massive Resurgence, which puts 120 players on Hajin at once. Rockets and Snipers, Extreme Resurgence, and other modes will arrive later in the season. Camo collectors get three Mode Mastery challenges and a “Return to Call of Duty: Warzone” event with extra rewards.
