Kojima Productions Registered ‘Death Stranding Odradek’ Trademark

Users have discovered that Kojima Productions has registered a new trademark related to Death Stranding. And while it likely has nothing to do with a new franchise installment, its title does, in one way or another, tie into the games.

Specifically, the new trademark is called Death Stranding Odradek. In the games, the Odradek is a special device that attaches to the protagonist’s shoulder and helps scan the surroundings. Fans speculate the trademark registration may indicate the release of a device's real-life version or a partnership between Kojima Productions and Niantic—a company that develops augmented reality products.

Death Stranding Odradek has been trademarked by Kojima Productions.

A trailer for Death Stranding Isolations —an anime set in the game's universe—recently appeared. This isn't the only adaptation, as a full-length film directed by Michael Sarnoski is also in production.

As for the Death Stranding games, Hideo Kojima has previously stated he has an idea for a third installment, but he wants another studio—not Kojima Productions—to develop it. There have also been rumors that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach may be released on the Xbox Series X/S soon. This should come as no surprise, since Kojima is collaborating with Microsoft, which is publishing his two upcoming projects—the horror game OD and the stealth-action game Physint.
