Ubisoft Will Share News About Assassin’s Creed Future This Week
Ubisoft is known to be actively working on the next main installment of Assassin's Creed—Codename Hexe—which was announced back in 2022 but still has no release date. The studio may reveal details about the game this week.
On the official Assassin's Creed page on X, Ubisoft revealed that Head of Content Jean Guesdon will discuss the future of the franchise and noted that players shouldn't expect any major announcements. Additionally, the developers have confirmed the release of an update for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, which will include New Game+ mode, Nightmare Mode, and other new features.
Hello Assassins, we know you’ve been waiting for updates, and we’re happy to say we have some exciting things coming up this week!
- Tomorrow: Black Flag Resynced’s Update arrives with New Game+, Nightmare Mode, and plenty of new treasure to uncover.
- Thursday: Head of Content Jean Guesdon will share another update on what’s ahead for Assassin’s Creed. While there won’t be any major reveals, we want to keep you informed on the franchise’s progress.
Given that Jean Guesdon is also the creative director of Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe, we'll likely learn some details about the new game after all. The last time Ubisoft shared updates on the franchise’s future was back in March. At that time, the studio finally confirmed the existence of Black Flag Resynced and shared updates on other projects.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe is set in 16th-century Germany, and the protagonist is a young woman named Anika, who is presumably related to Ezio Auditore’s sister, Claudia. Earlier this month, MP1st also provided more details about the characters in the game. The release date of Codename Hexe is currently unknown.
