It’s confirmed that new Assassin’s Creed games are in development, and during the latest blog called Assassin’s Creed: Into 2026, the new Assassin’s Creed Head of Content, Jean Guesdon, revealed much information about the future franchise titles—including Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and more.

He started his announcement with the latest Assassin’s Creed title, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, released last year. Guesdon confirmed the game is “moving into its final phase of support” and teased more updates are on their way.

The next mainline Assassin’s Creed, codenamed Hexe, announced back in 2022, was also mentioned by Guedson. The new head of content has confirmed he’ll be the game’s creative director as well, and the fans should expect "a unique, darker, narrative-driven Assassin’s Creed experience, set during a pivotal moment in history”. Unfortunately, there is still no information on the game’s release date, but, according to Guedson, “We are taking the time to deliver on its ambitious vision, which means we’ll be quiet for a little longer, but we love seeing all the enthusiasm happening on our channels and can’t wait to unveil more when the time is right.

At the same time, more information was revealed about the next Assassin’s Creed multiplayer title—Assassin's Creed Codename Invictus. The project is confirmed to be in testing at the moment, and it’s a “PvP multiplayer Assassin's Creed experience led by a dedicated team of For Honor veterans at Ubisoft Montreal.” Jean Guedson also revealed Invictus is “a new approach to multiplayer in the franchise, but it isn't quite what the rumors have suggested.

After plenty of rumors, the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, called Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, was confirmed by Jean Guedson, with a first art of the game revealed that you can check below. Unfortunately, that’s all related to the game, but at least Ubisoft has finally confirmed the game is real after a bunch of speculations and rumors.
