ARC Raiders Update 2.2 Is Out as Developers Wrap Up the PvE Test
Embark Studios has released update 2.2 for ARC Raiders. It adds the new Wreck Set to the store and brings a range of changes to ARC enemies, maps, and movement, along with plenty of bug fixes. To download the update, just restart the game.
Alongside the patch, the developers announced that the PvE matchmaking toggle test has ended. During the test, players could try raids against ARC only, with no encounters with other Raiders. Now Embark wants to hear what players thought: how PvE compared to the usual experience, what could be improved, and how regular PvPvE matches changed during the test. You can leave feedback in a dedicated Discord channel, and starting October 22, the studio will also send a survey to a portion of players. It’s still unknown whether a PvE mode will become a permanent part of the game.

The most noticeable changes affect enemies. Some ARC were hitting sliding players more accurately than intended, and that’s now fixed. Because of a bug, the Hydra spread its fire across different targets less often than it should and struggled to hit close-range targets. The developers fixed this and raised its base damage so it stays a dangerous enemy. ARC will also now react when players interact with Gondola Transceivers.
ARC Turbine spawns have changed too. In Buried City, Riven Tides, Blue Gate, and Spaceport, they’ll now appear in almost every session instead of only having a chance to spawn. On Dam Battlegrounds, they’ve been removed from standard sessions and most map conditions. Pendola Pass gets slightly more enemies and better lighting, and the developers fixed spots where players could get stuck or fall through the terrain.
The update also changes movement. To jump off a wall during a wall run, you now have to hold back, so accidental jumps should happen less often. You can now move straight from a wall onto a ladder or zipline, and the Grappling Hook works better when rappelling down, vaulting, and climbing ropes.

Several annoying bugs on the Frigate are gone. Players will no longer be ejected from the cargo container while it falls, those riding on its side won’t get instantly knocked out, and the thrusters won’t burn players during the descent. The developers also reduced memory usage inside the Frigate to fix rare crashes.
Other changes include:
- A Feats rebalance in the Reward Pass: some challenges were added, others removed or adjusted for smoother progression.
- The “To the Skies” quest can now be completed on any map, and the optional objective in “Belly of the Beast” now requires the exact item listed in its description.
- The Expedition Vault tab has been removed.
- The button for amplified weapons now reads “Amplify” instead of “Ascend.”
- Tether Launchers can now be repaired mid-raid.
- Fixed a bug where the Geometric Fabric Chair Design blueprint wasn’t granted after use.
- Moving platforms inside the Emperor no longer fall out of sync.
- The Skill Tree now shows how many levels a skill has, and “Add Skill Point” has been renamed to “Spend Point.”
- Improved Ballistic Gondola audio during boarding and takeoff, and the Bombardier’s mortar fire no longer sounds too loud and close at long range.
- Added voice responses for the Cowboy emote.
- Reduced memory usage from loot spawning systems for better stability during raids.
Some issues remain, though. Among the known bugs, the Grappling Hook can, in rare cases, launch a player upward at high speed, and some Xbox players may experience crashes. The full list of changes is available in the official patch notes.
