Alien: Isolation 2 Is Rumored to Release in 2027

This summer, SEGA and Creative Assembly officially unveiled Alien: Isolation 2, the long-awaited sequel to one of the best-known horror games based on the iconic franchise. More than ten years have passed since the original, and the project still has no exact release date. A recent report suggests it could come out as soon as next year.

Last week, the PAX Aus expo took place in Australia. Social media users noticed promotional materials there that gave 2027 as the release window for Alien: Isolation 2. Attendees were also given a demo and shared more details. The protagonist is Blake, an employee of Weyland-Yutani. She is joined by companions named Otto and Cole, and together they explore a crashed ship on the planet LV-921. The story takes place several months after the original game. Visitors also claim the locations are bigger and that the Xenomorph behaves more realistically and tracks the protagonist’s position better.

Alien Isolation is reportedly launching 2027, according to promotional posters at PAX Aus:

• Preserves the essence of the first game
• Significant technical leap
• New lead Blake
• Blake is a Weyland-Yutani admin
• Explore indoor and outdoor areas
• Emphasizes on atmosphere

Another big change from the original is the engine. The sequel uses Unreal Engine 5 instead of the Cathode Engine.

Alien: Isolation 2 is officially in development for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. The release date is currently unknown.
