New GTA: San Andreas Mod Adds Destruction Similar to Red Faction Games

It’s been ages since GTA: San Andreas came out, but fans are still making new mods for the game. A recent one adds something no other game in the series has had: a full destruction system.

A Reddit user spotted a new mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that lets you completely destroy buildings, similar to the Red Faction games. In the preview video, a grenade launcher or other explosives bring down huge structures, leaving only ruins, with roofs, walls, bridges, roads, and more can all be destroyed. The mod is already available for download on GitHub, and you can check out a few examples of it in action below:

Earlier this year, another mod for GTA: San Andreas was released that was just as impressive, maybe even more so. It essentially merged the game with Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Players can travel from one city to another by stepping into a portal, and it looks spectacular.

With GTA 6 releasing next month, fans, and PC players especially, are already planning future mods. But Rockstar recently updated its modding rules and added restrictions that disappointed many players. It’s best not to get your hopes up too high yet, and GTA 6 is unlikely to get a similar destruction system, let alone a portal to earlier games in the series.
